Actress/singer and Platinum-selling recording artist Demi Lovato has been named as one of the performers at the 2010 People's Choice Awards. So far she joins Faith Hill as a performer and is also nominated for Favorite Pop Artist.
"Demi is a brilliant performer, a strong role model and a true fan favorite," says the shows Executive Producer Mark Burnett, "We're thrilled to have her on board for the People's Choice Awards and look forward to a truly electrifying performance."
Demi received a standing ovation when she performed her hit single "Skyscraper" at the Teen Choice Awards, so we can expect greatness from the upcoming awards show. Demi is a three-time People's Choice Award winner, winning most recently for Favorite Breakout Artist in 2009. Her first single of her third solo LP, Unbroken was "Skyscraper" which debuted at #1 on the iTunes chart, #2 on the Billboard Hot Digital Singles chart and #10 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2012, Lovato will head out on a world tour to promote her album.
Currently in it's 38th year, The People's choice awards is the first Awards show of 2012, and will broadcast on January 11 on CBS. The PCA is the only major awards show voted on entirely by the public. Currently you can vote for Favorite New TV Drama and Favorite New TV Comedy on their website at PeoplesChoice.com. Big Band Theory actress Kaley Cuoco will host the awards ceremony.
