A mean-looking Drake with a fuzzy goatee is set to appear on the cover of Vibe's upcoming "Race" issue. The multi-platinum, multi-ethnic star comes out with all guns blazing against mean kids on the playground and any pretenders to the hip-hop throne.
"The racism I experienced was being Jewish," Drake told Vibe, "Jewish kids didn't understand how I could be black and Jewish…it was just stupid, annoying rich kids that were close-minded and mean."
So now we finally understand that when Drake sings, "I started from the bottom," he is referring to being forced to dance alone to "My Sharona" at countless mid-nineties Bat Mitzvahs.
The ex-"Degrassi" star goes on to shoot veiled barbs at hip-hop contemporaries by stating, "My competition is nobody else, by the way. It's just me and 'Ye." Ever the MC, he managed to throw shade in a rhyme.
