The search for an American pop star takes about a few months. A search for its judges takes a lifetime (or at least it seems that way). But what about the show’s hosts?
Insiders say that it looks like Khloe will be taking time away from her own reality TV family to join another at the “X Factor.” She’s poised to join the reality TV singing competition as a presenter with another familiar face…
Mario Lopez. The former “Saved By The Bell” actor has a resume of experience, currently hosting for another music related competition, “America’s Best Dance Crew.” He also co-hosted “The Wendy Williams Show” earlier this month.
Simon Cowell hinted earlier this month at the suggestion of Khloe. “I know whom I would like, but now I have to get it approved by the network…We have screen-tested a load of people...It could be a Kardashian. I think that would work. I'm a fan of putting inexperienced hosts on this show…We have to find people who have a great chemistry, but Khloe is definitely up there in the running.”
However, according to reports, the E! Network is something of an obstacle. “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” has an exclusive contract that’s putting a giant ‘X’ through the possibility of her hosting the “X Factor.” If E! doesn’t give her the green light—in fear that she won’t be able to promote the reality show she’s already on in favor of the Fox network—then it’s Khloe’s who’s getting the “no” from its judges.
Fox is supposedly already preparing for the deal to go through. If this worst case scenario situation should arise, “High School Musical” actor Corbin Blue is believed to be tapped to host also.
