According to Eminem's manager, Paul Rosenberg, Popdust’s reports that he’d talked to MTV Rapfix were totally false: “People don’t hear from Marshall for a spell and they just start making stuff up.”
MTV reported that Eminem said he’d recorded a song with Lady Gaga already: “Yeah, I got this crazy record with Gaga and Kendrick [Lamar] for the upcoming LP. It’s Called ‘Street Lights,’ and it’s just a real upbeat songs. We don’t have a release date yet, but it’ll be after Slaughterhouse’s album.”
Popdust has taken their report down, and MTV RapFix has nothing about the ‘collaboration’ up on its site either.
They did report that Eminem was at work on his 8th album, which has been confirmed and is definitely happening in real life.
Maybe someone at Popeater or MTV just had a really strange dream about the partnership and was too tired to separate it from the reality of the non-Gageminem world before they wrote up the store.
That happens to me sometimes when I dream about zombies attacking my house and am only half conscious at 6 am. But I check the news before I panic and report the apocalypse.
Maybe next time Popeater and/or MTV RapFix will check in with their own source before getting our hopes up?
