Eminem Named Artist of the Decade

Eminem has been MIA for most of the decade, but that hasn't stopped Nielsen SoundScan, the company which compiles the Billboard countdowns, from naming him the "Artist of the Decade."

Eminem has sold over 32 million albums in his career to date, which makes him America's best-selling artist of the decade. No joke!

Eminem was presented with a special plaque commemorating his huge achievements this week. His close pal and mentor Dr. Dre was on hand to help him celebrate alongside Interscope Records boss Jimmy Lovine, manager Paul Rosenberg and Nielsen SoundScan executives Eric Weinberg and Chris Muratore.

Eminem did a little peek-a-boo last year with his single "We Made You," from his album Relapse. But good news is you'll be seeing--and hearing--a lot more of Eminem soon. He's planning on releasing his seventh studio album, titled Recovery, this June.
