Eminem Named Best-Selling Artist of the Decade

Eminem has just beat out countless musicians for a major title in the music industry. The rapper has been crowned America’s best-selling artist of the decade!

Neilsen SoundScan calculated the results by compiling the Billboard charts from the year 200 until now. The Beatles take the top spot for selling over 11 million copies of their hit record 1. But Eminem beat them out for having two albums in the top ten on Billboard-- 2000's The Marshall Mathers LP and 2002's The Eminem Show.

According to MTV, Eminem has sold over 32.2 million albums. Taking the number two spot is Justin Timberlake and ‘N Sync, with their album No Strings Attached. Third place goes to Norah Jones with her album Come Away With Me.

As for the top singles of the decade, most of the songs on the list are very recent. The top spot is filled by Flo Rida with “Low,” then Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance,” Jason Mraz “I’m Yours,” OneRepublic “Apologize,” and Black Eyed Peas “Boom Boom Pow.”
