In a new clip published on Vevo today, production czar Rick Rubin explains how working with Eminem on The Marshall Mathers LP 2 came to be. “It just worked out,” he says in the video with a twinkle in his eye. “It was meant to be at this time.”

The sequence opens on a shot of Rubin working the house-sized boombox featured in the video, which is a sight worth two minutes of your time on its own.

“We were in the studio working on a bunch of ideas and this is one of the later ones to come up,” says Rubin on “Berzerk,” the first single from the album due out November 5th. “It started with a sample. And the sample that we started with ended up not being on the record. The song sort of evolved.”
