Fall Out Boy Falls Apart

Pete Wentz's marriage isn't the only thing falling apart--his band Fall Out Boy is dunzo too.

The band is trying to avoid a messy split by taking an extended break from each other.

Pete said, "We were doing this hard for seven years. We were going promo, tour, tour, recording, promo, tour, world tour, and there's no way to not get burned out when you're doing that, and rather than let the band implode and not like each other... we were like, 'Let's take a break from this and step away and everybody kind of get out all their personal ideas'.

"We're all in different lanes so we're able to support each other and we're probably tighter as friends now... I think that Fall Out Boy has a better chance now of doing something in the future than ever."

The question is, do people still go to Fall Out Boy concerts? While they're taking a break, they should really consider a name change. Or a career change. Either or.
Pete Wentz: I Ruined Fall Out Boy
Pete Wentz has come forward to admit he’s to blame for the downfall of his band Fall Out Boy! In a new interview with British magazine Kerrang, he says his personal life became somewhat of a hindrance for the rest of his band mates.

And as a result, FOB has decided as a whole to put the band on hold as each member concentrates on their own projects. But Pete has no problem blaming himself, saying his high profile relationship and marriage with Ashlee Simpson overshadowed the band.

Pete says, "My biggest personal reason for taking a break is that I feel my name has become a hindrance for the band. (Frontman Patrick Stump) is a musical genius and it's unfortunate that he gets reviewed based on whatever's going on in my personal life or how my hair looks. I think the world needs a little less Pete Wentz. A lot of people think Fall Out Boy is me. But it's the four of us. I want to f**king vomit when I read intros that say, 'Pete Wentz: accidental internet poster boy.' It makes me feel ugly."

He adds, "People who read the tabloids probably think all I do is visit Starbucks and hang out in nightclubs."

We have to hand it to Pete. Most people in his position would probably take al the credit for the band being popular. Instead, Pete blames himself and gives credence to his band members! It just makes us like him more!
