Thought March Madness was all about the basketball? Well, like most sporting events these days, it’s also about who will be performing!
The tournament is just a couple weeks away, and NCAA has just announced who will be taking the stage during the Final Four.
It’s in Detroit this year, and the organizing committee has decided to have three days of free concerts to celebrate the event. The featured performers this year are Fergie , The Pussycat Dolls, and Gavin DeGraw.
They’re calling it the Big Dance, the entertainment part of the college basketball championship. The two semifinal games on April 4 will be shown on a giant video screen at the outdoor fest. So those who don’t want to spring for tickets can brave the Detroit cold and watch outside!
The event will take place between April 3rd through the 5th. This is the seventh year for the Big Dance, which has featured such performers as Taylor Swift, Kid Rock and Ludacris in the past.
Saturday’s performers feature The Pussycat Dolls, who will be taking a quick break from Britney’s Circus tour, Fergie, and Gavin DeGraw. And on Sunday, Ryan Seacrest will host the day’s events, which will include a performance by Gym Class Heroes, Janelle Monae, and Parachute. 40 local bands from the Detroit area will also perform during the weekend.
The only day we unsure of is opening day! The headliner for April 3rd hasn’t been named yet, but according to Billboard, it will be a band that “raises some eyebrows.” For more details, visit ncaa.comfinalfour
