Frank Ocean recently parted ways with his long-time managers Christian and Kelly Clancy. If you follow any of the Odd Future gang on Twitter, you know that the Clancys are basically family to these guys. He has also opted for a new publicist, leaving behind Life and Death PR who has represented Ocean from the start of his burgeoning career.
No word as to why this split occurred has been disclosed. Both Ocean and the Clancys have declined to comment on the matter.
Regardless, Frank has a new album on the way, his sophomore project. His 2012 debut album Channel Orange scored a Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary album, sold over 130,000 copies in its first week, and was heralded as the best album of the year by numerous publications.
Frank Ocean collaborator Nabil Elderkin, who directed the music video for “Pyramids," commented on the forthcoming album:
“Everyone should be excited about this new album — that shit is fire. He’s making a great record. It blows the sophomore album myth out of the water.”
EEEEEK. We. Are. So. Excited. We all need more Frank Ocean in our lives.
