"Glee: The 3D Concert Movie" Debuts Trailer

Who wants to be inspired with 2-hours worth of 3D song and dance numbers?!

The trailer for “Glee: The 3D Concert Movie” has finally arrived and is the culmination of performance footage and behind-the-scenes gems from the Glee Live Tour. Imagine like a PG version of VH1’s behind the music.

Audiences can “gleek out” in three dimensions for a limited time only. The two week-engagement hits theaters August 12th.

I’m guessing this will almost be like the 3D masterpiece that was Avatar “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never,” just replace Bieber with the cast of Glee. Congratulations Fox execs, you didn’t have to make another real movie this summer. Just edit together footage from the concerts, tack on the phrase “In 3D” and 12-year-old girls are already peeing their pants.

The film will feature popular covers like “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “I’m a Slave 4 U,” “Teenage Dream,” and “Raise Your Glass.” These are songs you probably liked when the original artists sang them, but somehow they got better when some TV actors took out the cuss words and re-recorded them? That’s the appeal of Glee right?

There’s an obnoxious message of “follow your dreams” throughout the trailer but it does redeem itself with all its Jane Lynch delivered quips. The trailer ends with Lynch joke-warning, “Please, save your money. This thing sucks.”

She’s probably right.
