You might have seen the name Greyson Chance float around the Internet lately and wondered why it sounds vaguely familiar to you.
Greyson is that 13-year-old boy that uploaded a youtube video of himself last year playing the piano and singing along to Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi" at his school's talent show. The video has 40 million views.
Then Ellen DeGeneres heard about him and he appeared on her show and became even more famous. You remember now? I’m sure someone’s mom emailed you the link of his Gaga cover last year saying something like “Watch this little kid! Awesome singer!”
Anyways, little Greyson is no one hit wonder. His new album “Hold On ‘Til the Night” will debut August 2 and he’s already released the music video for his first single, “Unfriend You.”
“Unfriend You,” is a song about breaking up with someone and deleting them from facebook. Oh, to be 13. The follow-up song will probably be “Unfollow you.”
Greyson will appear on QVC this Sunday to promote the album. Justin Bieber better start worrying, another tiny white male with a pixie haircut might take over Bieber’s fanbase. Them 12-year-old girls tend to have a wandering eye.
The talented kid’s handlers are working overtime because Greyson will also make his acting debut in a three-episode arc on “Raising Hope” this fall. He will be playing the younger version of the show’s lead character.
