Gwyneth Paltrow surprised Glee fans by appearing at their East Rutherford, New Jersey performance of Glee Live! To perform Cee-Lo’s hit, “F-ck You.”
Except this is Glee, a show where 16-year-old cheerleaders get knocked up, so naturally they performed the censored version of the song, “Forget You.”
Paltrow had a two-episode arc on Glee playing sassy substitute teacher Holly Holliday. Only on Glee could they get away naming their characters after porn stars.
During the Glee Live! performance, Naya Rivera who plays Santana, claims she was “the sassiest” member of the Glee club.
To audiences surprise, Gwyneth Paltrow appears onstage telling her “Not so fast!” before launching into her performance. Paltrow then struts around the stage while the Glee kids do what they do best, spaz out to crappy choreography and do their best impression of “being in highschool.”
Last night’s show was being recorded for the “Glee Live! 3D!” tour movie coming out in August, which I’m assuming will be like the Justin Bieber 3D concert movie. Aka something you add to your netflix queue and hope nobody ever finds out about.
Another surprise of the evening, Jane Lynch stopped by the show to perform her parts live. During the other concerts, Sue Sylvester’s parts are usually just a recorded segment.
For those not in New Jersey last night to catch the show live, don’t worry, Paltrow and Lynch should live on forever in the Glee 3D film.
