Hanson, the boys of 1997’s biggest pop song “MMMbop,” are now singing along to one of the biggest pop songs of 2012.
They got together for Fifi and Jules, an Australian radio show, to perform an acoustic cover of Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and it’s a like, total blast from the past.
The trio mellowed out Tay Tay’s break-up (and staying broken up!) call to arms with their toned tenors. Their harmonies aren’t as tight and crisp as they once were, but I’m kind of digging the more earthy, campfire feel they brought to a song you otherwise can only picture teenage girls singing into the lockers of their high schools.
Taylor is also basically obsessed with this version. After watching the video, she immediately gushed her love for it over Twitter:
1) Hanson covered 'We Are Never Getting Back Together'. 2) I didn't just watch the video of it 8 times in a row. 3) #2 might be a lie

Hanson might be past their mega prime, but as this video shows, they’re still rocking. In 2010, they released their eighth album Shout It Out, and Zac, Isaac, and Taylor are also brewing their own beer now called “MmmHops” since they’re all of drinking age now. Yes, they’re THAT old these days and now I’m wondering if my wrinkles are showing.
You can watch the video once, twice, or eight times here. Whatever, not judging!
