Jay-Z and Lady Gaga to Perform at VMAs

The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards are going to be huge this year! And just today, both Jay-Z and Lady Gaga have been added to the list of performers confirmed for the evening.

They join already-booked Pink, Green Day, Taylor Swift , and Muse on the lineup. Jay-Z is up for Best Hip Hop Video and Best Male Video for D.O.A., and his new album The Blueprint 3 is out on September 11th, just two days before the show.

And Gaga is in the same league as Jay-Z’s wife Beyonce, leading the pack with nine of her own nominations. She says, "I'm simply gutted to be both a performer and nominee at the 2009 VMAs. In fact, I'm so happy, I could die."

On the presenter lineup, we have Nelly Furtado, Miranda Cosgrove, Leighton Meester, Katy Perry, Ne-Yo, and Chace Crawford. Talk about a star-studded night!
