On Monday, Kendrick Lamar released the remix to his Good Kid, M.A.A.D City single “B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe.” This time around, the track features a guest verse from Jay-Z.
In the song, Hov speed raps, covering such topics as his swanked-out lifestyle, rap-reign and political views. Most head turning, though, is his reference to his wife, Beyoncé Knowles.
He riffs: “Up in the clouds, me and my spouse / Rumors on the ground gettin' too loud / Please turn them s--ts down, can't hear myself think!”
During his near minute-long, Jay-Z barely manages to get a breath. But does manage to give a nod to President Obama.
“Presidential pardon, name one n---a out there harder than him / I'll wait!”
The revamped track yields a significantly feistier Lamar compared to the original, released in October 2012. It debuted at SXSW and arrives officially this week via Funkmaster Flex.
It was previously announced that Lamar and Jay-Z would headline the Yahoo! On The Road summer tour. Also appearing will be Jay-Z’s “Suit & Tie” collaborator Justin Timberlake, Frank Ocean and Trey Songz.
