Jay Z Goes Norwegian With New Record Label

Jay Z must be getting sick of the U.S. hip hop scene, because he now has his sights set on Norway.

He has confirmed a collaboration with Norwegian producers Stargate to launch a new record label.?He has teamed up with the duo, consisting of Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel S. Eriksen, to form StarRoc.

?In a statement Jay-Z and Stargate say, "The focus is to find new talent and develop artists through mutually beneficial global partnerships which include music distribution, publishing, touring and merchandising."

The new label is linked to a multi-million dollar contract with concert promoters Live Nation, so maybe we'll see a performance from Jay-Z at this year's Live Nation event in India? We sure hope so!
