Jennifer Hudson seems like she is getting back on her horse. She’s already signed on to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl in a couple of weeks, and now we hear she’ll be performing at the Grammy Awards next month. Access Hollywood reports that both she and Carrie Underwood are among the musical performances for the evening.
It only seems fitting for Jennifer to perform since she’s nominated in three categories: Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals, and Best R&B Album.
Some people think it’s too soon for Jennifer to jump back into the spotlight, but we think performing can be very therapeutic for her. It’s what she does best, so we can’t wait to see her back on the stage.
As for Carrie, it shouldn’t surprise you that she’s nominated as well. She’s up for Best Female Country Vocal Performance. Jennifer and Carrie join a now long list of already reported performers for the night, including Kenny Chesney, Coldplay, the Jonas Brothers, Lil Wayne, and Katy Perry. Tune in February 8th!
