If this season of American Idol is the last one for Jennifer Lopez, it's new news to Fox. The network was absolutely floored when she said she wasn't sure if she was coming back next season. Awkward calling on line one.
In an interview with BBC radio, J.Lo said: "I haven't been forced to make a decision and I'm glad about that because honestly I'm very on the fence about it.”
There's a good chance she made the comments as a negotiating ploy for more pay for the next season, but you never know.
Fox agreed to give J.Lo $12 million dollars for her gig on American Idol, while Steven Tyler makes about $20 million. They've both contributed the same this season, so there's a good chance she's trying to scare Fox into giving her more money.
She added, "I have a lot [of] other things happening, and it's going to come down to me making a choice of what I want to do for the next year.”
Fox has been dealing with some bad press lately because of the whole Cheryl Cole and X-Factor scenario so another American Idol blow out is the last thing they need. Do you think J.Lo is bluffing?
