Jennifer Lopez Returning To Idol With A Huge Raise

Jennifer Lopez is returning to American Idol next season, and her salary? $20 million. Actually, it’s “a smidge over” $20 million, according to The Wrap.

Last season, Lopez was paid $12 million for her duties as judge. She asked for a minimum of $20 million for the next season, and as negotiations wrapped up, the final amount went even higher.

So if you crunch the numbers and take into consideration the show’s popularity, what this all adds up to is: Marc Anthony is a moron. Just goes to show, you can be hot as hell and rich as hell, and all it takes to screw your marriage up is a stewardess fluffing your husband’s pillows.

Lopez recently told Vanity Fair that, despite their split, Marc Anthony will “always hold a special place” in her heart:

“This was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to face. I really wanted this family to work. That was my biggest dream, and I worked hard at it.”

Apparently the Fox contract is all lined up, but Lopez has yet to sign. But producers are confident that the singer will return next season.
