J.Lo, Beyonce and Drake Confirmed for Ice Age 2
Ice Age: Continental Drift just got a little hipper. Rapper Drake and singer Beyonce have joined the cast of the next movie. Jennifer Lopez and Queen Latifah are also lending their vocal talents to the movie.
I guess executives figure if they can sing, they can voice a couple of cartoons. And a star like Beyonce or Jennifer Lopez, who's buzzing even more now for her role on Idol , might have a little more draw than, say, Ray Romano. No offense to Romano, but I don't think the kids are tuning into reruns of Deborah yelling at Ray over not taking out the trash.
But with pop stars having such a draw, could they be taking the jobs of regular actors? Who knows whether Justin Timberlake's acting career would've started with such a bang if he wasn't the fedora-wearing superstar everyone loved?
I'm not sure, but one thing I do know is: after being named People Magazine's Most Beautiful Woman, it's a shame Jennifer Lopez will be playing a saber-toothed tiger in her next role.
