Strap on your leather pants and diva dance shoes. It’s time to catch J.Lo fever.
From her departure from “American Idol” to her brand new tour with Enrique Iglesias, the Latin pop goddess has been making all sorts of headlines lately. And today is no exception. J.Lo has released a teaser from her new music video for “Goin’ In” featuring Flo Rida from the Step Up Revolution soundtrack.
Like the original song, the video is fused with enough vibrancy and pizzazz to get you in the dance mood.
Ace Norton is the director of the video. He is the mind behind more indie-style projects like The Fray’s “Never Say Never” and She and Him’s “Why Do You You Let Me Stay Here.” Norton has also produced a slew of high-profile commercial work for clients like McDonald’s, Honda, and Coca Cola.
On this video Norton delivers a series of striking visuals, which we get clued into on this trailer.
All sequences are a one-shot, studio-style setup. We, the viewers, act as the POV of a camera on a hip, visual effects infused photo shoot.
The first image that we get teased with is J.Lo in glowing perfection. Her lips are tiled with pink diamonds. She wears a matching silk cloak and aviator sunglasses.
Cut to: J.Lo in a hip-hop look with some serious diva flash. She reps her Bronx roots in a white flat brim New York hat. She wears a glammed up white dance attire and finishes the look off in lime green hoodie.
Along with a series of other fashion choices, the video is spotted with some modern art insert shots. Complementing J.Lo’s thrusting dance moves and throbbing beats is an exploding paint grenade, a slow-mo blast of a colored fire hydrant and a candy-blue Cadillac doing a serious gangsta bounce. J.Lo will debut the video in full on MTV.com on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 7:50 p.m. ET. If the teaser is any indication of the excitement to come, you won’t want to miss it.
