Jessica Simpson Is #1 On The Charts

Wow! This is quite surprising. Despite her less than par performances on Good Morning America and at the Grand Ole Opry, Jessica Simpson's new country album Do You Know has just debuted at the number one spot on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart.

It also secured the #4 spot on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart today. Simpson's first single Come on Over hit #18 on the Hot Country Songs list last month.

Jess says of the news, "I'm extremely touched by the overwhelmingly positive response to the album. There is so much honesty and raw emotion in there. And, I'm just thrilled that country fans are giving it a chance!"
