There’s a new southern girl on the music scene! Her name is Jessie James, and she’ll blow you away. You may recognize her voice from the Confessions Of A Shopoholic soundtrack, on which her song Blue Jeans was featured.
20-year old Jessie hails from Georgia, but has been singing since the age of two. Graduating from plastic guitars and toy microphones to the big leagues, she’s now repped by Mercury Records/Def Jam. All it took was one audition for LA Reid and she was in.
Jessie’s newest single is called Wanted, and deals with female empowerment and refusing to play the victim. Talk about perfect timing for a song like that to hit the airwaves! She co-wrote the track with Idol judge Kara DioGuardi, as well as Mitch Allen and David Hodges, and it really shows off her intensity and rock vibe.
Wanted is expected to start playing on mainstream radio stations nationwide this month. You can listen to Jessie’s single Wanted here first!
