John Legend Replaces Lionel Ritchie on ABC

John Legend has just announced that he’s joining the cast of ABC’S new music competition show, “Duets.”

He’s joining an already stellar line-up of Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Nettles and Robin Thicke as they search for the ultimate “Duet” partner.

Legend will join the other celebrity judges to find undiscovered talent worthy of being their duet partners.

While I’m going to miss Lionel Richie on the show, I think John Legend is a more than a satisfactory replacement.

“I’m thrilled to be part of ‘Duets’ and I’m looking forward to finding an undiscovered gem out there. This is going to be a lot of fun,” Legend said in a statement.

The set-up for “Duets” is unlike any other singing competition reality show currently on television. The “Superstars” and their duet partners will take the stage each week and perform in front of a live studio audience until one duet “wins” and the winning partner will receive a recording contract with Hollywood Records.

Of there is only 4 superstars, does one team get voted off each week? Will this be a very short season? You just have to watch to find out!
