John Mayer Debuts New Song

John Mayer has just come out with a brand new song, which is his first since 2007. John tweeted about the news this morning via Twitter, saying, “Here it is! Who Says, the first single from Battle Studies. From my heart to yours.

The song is very folky, and is more upbeat than what we’ve been hearing lately from John. He tells Rolling Stone of his new single, “When I sing it, I do not think about marijuana — I think about walking around your house naked with a guitar. It’s about being in control of the pleasure in your life.”

This is the first single off John’s upcoming album Battle Studies, which comes out November 17th. Check out the single here.
