Johnny Depp is reverting to his rock star roots!
The actor has started up his own record label. According to The Sun, he founded Unison Music and hired some talent scouts to seek out new talent in London.
A source tells the publication, "Johnny has always been passionate about music. He is taking a really hands-on approach to signing acts. Obviously he can't get to as many gigs as he would like, but he has got a good team around him and will personally vet any signings that they make.”
What many don’t know is that Depp actually dropped out of school with the hopes of becoming a rock star. Acting was something he just “settled” for!
But Johnny’s always managed to keep music in his life—he’s even played instruments for some of his films' soundtracks.
He played with a lot of garage bands during his childhood, and recently funded studio time for the British band "Babybird," and even played on several of their tracks during the production a new record. He’s also part-owner of the popular Viper Room on the Sunset Strip in LA.
Sounds like he’s living out a dream!
