The Jonas Brothers’ rep said in a statement to CNN, "While they wish to apologize to everyone who planned to attend the concert, this difficult decision was made out of their great affection and concern for their loyal fans in the region.”
Concert promoter Live Nation said the concert was cancelled due to “a series of unfortunate events” and out of concern for fans. The US Department of State also issued a travel warning for the country, noting a shooting on August 20, 2010, in front of the American Foundation School in Monterrey and "the high incidence of kidnappings in the Monterrey area".
So scary! This was definitely a good call though—seeing as though most Jo-Bro fans are young girls!
