Will.i.am’s collaboration with Justin Bieber has hit the web!
…and the Black Eyed Pea front man is not happy about the “You and Me” track leaking.
Apparently, he’s so infuriated and frustrated by this online SNAFU that he’s going back into the recording studio to create new ones. The album, #willpower, has immediately pushed back its release from the original October 15 date specifically by Will.i.am so he can get back in the recording booth and write some new songs.
He announced it on the official (Twitter) this week:
He later added that the songs that leaked were “incomplete” and “unfinished.”
I'm trying to finish #willpower...& now because of all the leaks I have push the album back to make new songs...I will give you updates soon— will.i.am (@iamwill) September 18, 2012
Let’s hope that was the reasoning for the lackluster lullaby that is “You and Me.” Truthfully, maybe the too-soon song that put this whole situation on delay to be rewritten and/or replaced, so maybe it’s a blessing in auto-tune disguise.
Unsurprisingly, there’s so much of that going on—by that we mean auto-tune, Will.i.am’s favorite magic trick—it actually sounds like he’s using auto-tune on top of auto-tune. By the end of it, it just sounds like Will.i.am is trying to hypnotize you into bying the album. Maybe that’s why it’s titled #willpower… Even with the shake up, the album will showcase other expected collaborations with Nicole Scherzinger, Rihanna, and Britney Spears—the latter of which the singer will mentor on X Factor.
