In another example of fantastic journalism happening today, Digital Spy, Contact Music and a handful of other sites have misreported the story that Justin Timberlake is making a musical comeback.
Producer Jim Beanz claimed that he, Timbaland and Justin had been working on an album filled with, like totally “crazy” tracks, dudes.
Jim told Digital Spy: “When I get back to the States I'm going to be helping out on 'Shock Value 3' with Timbaland and the Justin Timberlake project. It's still in the early stages, but they have a lot of tracks. While I've been over here in the UK they've been working, so by the time I get back they'll have a whole load of ideas and I'm going to have to catch up!''
JT hasn’t released an album since 2006’s FutureSex/LoveSounds, mostly because he’s been focusing on acting and being engaged to Jessica Biel.
Not only has no one ever heard of this Jim Beanz man (my guess is that he got real drunk on whiskey and made a prank call this morning), but apparently no one thought to Google him or talk to Justin’s spokesperson until EW Music Mix.
They reported: “According to Timberlake’s publicist, there are currently no plans for a new album, though JT is working with Timbaland on tracks for Shock Value 3.” But as for other music, “That’s it,” said the spokesperson.
