The 55th Annual Grammy Awards will be a suit and tie kind of event.
Justin Timberlake will perform on music’s big night next month. The “Cry Me A River” singer has signed on at the last minute to remind us that sexy hasn’t gone anywhere.
News of JT’s Grammy performance-to-be arrives in the form of a news release directly from the Recording Academy.
The show will broadcast live from Staples Center arena. The televised set will be Justin’s first since delivering the single “Suit & Tie,” his first new material to come from the studio in over six years.
“Suit & Tie,” which features vocals from Jay-Z, sold over 300,000 copies in its first week, besting his 2006 hit “SexyBack,” which scored only 250,000 downloads.
The new track is the first single off Justin’s new album, The 20/20 Experience, from RCA Records. The release is due out March 19.
Also on tap to take the Grammy stage include: Dierks Bentley, Mumford & Sons, The Black Keys, Miranda Lambert, Fun., The Lumineers, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Ed Sheeran and Jack White.
LL Cool J will host the televised event…
The Grammys will air Sunday, Feb. 10, from 8 – 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
