Is Justin Timberlake bringing sexy back? Or is he bringing sexier back? How fit can his sexy really be when said aforementioned sexy has been out of commission for seven years? Do we downgrade Justin's sexually sexy status after his role in the unsexy Trouble With the Curve? So many questions…
Sexy J.T. had the sexy backside of the Twittersphere a-bumpin' and grindin' last night when he sent out a cryptic tweet that read: "Thursday, January 10th, 2013 at 9:01 am PST…"
Then it turned 9:01 am, Justin followed up, tweeting, "To whom it may concern…I think I'M READY! #JT2013" with a link that revealed a video of Justin walking towards a studio recording booth with a moody voice-over vaguely explaining why he's been taking so damn long to record new material, and just when he's about to sing something (anything!) the clip…fades to black. So little answers…
Not exactly the new music as rumored, just a teaser teasing what he's been teasing since 2006. On the website, his most recent tweet directs you to a three day countdown that will hopefully unlock a new single this time.
The only good thing to come out of this situation is that I knew at exactly what time to set my alarm clock for this morning (9:01 am PST). Thanks for inspiring me to get up this morning, Justin. Expect me to get up right on time this Monday to see what new J.T. sounds like.
Adding to all this new music buzz, Beyoncé also confirmed cutting new tracks with Justin's name attached. "I've been working with Pharrell and Timbaland and Justin Timberlake and Dream," she told GQ. "We all started in the '90s, when R&B was the most important genre, and we all kind of want that back, the feeling that music gave us."
So do we, J.T. So do we.
