There's no such thing as a slow news day at Stereotude. Whereas other organizations take it easy on Fridays, we get our hands dirty and trawl the depths of the Internet to bring you music news. This is FYI:

Broke Bitches: Kreayshawn sent out a tweet yesterday stating that she made $0.01 from sales of her debut album. This, in addition to news that Angel Haze's pushed-up release of Dirty Gold only sold 1,115 copies, has gotta make you wonder about these ladies' career choices. Top Ramen, anyone? (Via Idolator)

Sonic Truth: Thurston Moore, the be-mopped and lanky frontman of seminal noise-rock group Sonic Youth has released a list of his favorite songS ever. There's no surprises here, really, it's all a lot of noisy post-punk, but he did manage to squeeze in some Beach Boys and Jimi Hendrix (Via Consequence of Sound)

Kanye vs. Coinye: A New York City judge has granted Kanye West's lawyers permission to hunt down the anonymous folk behind Coinye, a cryptocurrency launched last week that bears a resemblance to the rapper's face. This sounds like the plot to a movie that James Franco should be in (Via Starpulse)

We Killed the Music Industry!: Album sales in the US fell to an ALL-TIME low last week, with 4.25 million albums sold. This is a good .2 million under the previous low in October. Keep in mind, in December 2000, there were 45.2 million albums sold. Keep on downloadin', kids! (via NME)

Drizzy Gets Bizzy: Drake played beer hockey last night with Jimmy Fallon and he'll be the host and musical guest on "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend. We love to throw shade in his direction, but props where they're due; homeboy is pretty funny in the "SNL" promo:
