Kanye Gets Sued

Kanye West and other rappers are being sued by the daughter of a jazz musician for copyright infringement.

Kathleen Firrantello is accusing Kanye, Method Man, Redman, and Common of using a sample of her late father Joe Farrell's song called Upon This Rock for their own tracks.

She's seeking $1 million total in damages. The rappers probably just use the samples knowing they'll get sued, but figure they'll be able to pay the bill anyway, and their sales from the song will be more than the amount they're getting sued for. We're sure $1 million is pocket change to those guys.
