Kanye West has his panties in a bunch for the upteenth time. He’s super pissed about his album artwork being banned in the states for his new album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
"Yoooo they banned my album cover!!!!!" he tweeted. "Banned in the USA!!!"
The artwork is very small, but features a naked man (presumably himself) being straddled by what appears to be a woman. Kanye ranted,
"They don't want me chilling on the couch with my phoenix!" Kanye wrote, adding, "So Nirvana can have a naked human being on they cover but I can't have a PAINTING of a monster with no arms and a polka dot tail and wings."
Sources tell Popeater.com West was “strongly urged” not to use the artwork, but was ultimately told that "if he wanted to do it, the label would stand behind him."
But after discussions about his album being sold at places like Walmart, Best Buy and Target, Kanye reconsidered. "In all honesty ... I really don't be thinking about Wal-Mart when I make my music or album covers. #kanyeshrug,” Kanye wrote.
“I wanna sell albums but not at the expense of my true creativity.”
Oh please, Kanye. Enough with the brooding artist crap. Check out the artwork below...
