Kanye West Delays Australia Show – Crowd Retaliates

Word on the street is that Kanye West is a bit of a diva. Okay, we know this, but his fans down under aren’t so forgiving about his ego habits.

Kanye delayed his 9.15pm set by 45 minutes at the Big Day Out concert in Australia, and fans were furious.

I know what you’re thinking…45 minutes? That’s it? That’s barely enough time to show up late and get to the bar before the show starts. In LA, if a show is “supposed” to start at 8pm, it will actually begin at 10pm. I have no idea why these people were so upset.

So anyways, Kanye blamed his late start on the rain. As Milli Vanilli once said, “Blame It On The Rain.”

However, sources are saying it wasn’t the rain that forced Kanye to hold up the show. Apparently, pro-skater Tony Hawk was doing a vertical ramp skateboarding demonstration that went over its slot time, pushing into Kanye’s start time.

Kanye didn’t want to split the audience with Tony Hawk, so he waited for Hawk to finish so that everyone could focus on Kanye’s set.

Ok, Kanye IS a diva, but that’s why we love him right? Or do we hate him? I don’t know.

While the crowd waited impatiently for the show to start, they started chanting, “bullshit.”

The source also reportedly said that Kanye requested that everything in his dressing room be all white, and when it was discovered that there was a cream-colored couch backstage, they had it replaced immediately.

Okay, I don’t know if I believe THAT, Kanye’s ridic, but not that ridic. He’ll interrupt an awards speech and start a show late, sure, but an all-white dressing room? C’mon, we know Kanye’s favorite color is green, like the color of money, heyooo!

That being said, when Kanye took the stage he gave stellar performance complete with ballerinas, explosions, and stadium wide anthems.
