Kanye West tweets more per hour than any other star, he releases two albums in the same year and he has more 2012 Grammy nominations than any other artist. Kanye and Jay-Z may be watching the throne, but Kanye is sitting firmly atop it.
The controversial star leads the Grammy nomination pack with 7 nominations for both his "My Dark Twisted Fantasy" and "Watch The Throne" album.
Some of those nominations include best rap album (for both albums), Best Rap Song and Song of the Year with "All Of The Lights," Best Rap Performance of "Otis" with Jay-Z, and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "All Of The Lights" with Rihanna, Kid Cudi and Fergie, to name a few.
However, some fans felt like Kanye got snubbed that he didn't get an album of the year nod for "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy." However, Kanye says it's not a problem.
He recently told fans in Chicago at the recent tour stop for the "Watch The Throne" tour: "I figured out though that's my fault for dropping Watch The Throne and Dark Fantasy the same year. I should have just spaced it out just a little bit more, but don’t worry because me and Hov are gonna keep on making shit."
Also, thanks to Kanye's recent 91-tweet manifesto, we know just how he feels about his 7 Grammy nominations.
"I appreciate having the most nominations at the Grammies," and also, "I wouldn't have the prestige I have if it wasn't partially for the Grammys validation and the honor..." he then went on to talk about what he is gonna wear on the red carpet, but let's be real, we know it's gonna be sunglasses at night and designer high-tops, probably.
Kanye is gloating this Grammy season and with good reason. Since his career began, he has won 14 Grammy awards from forty-four nominations.
The Grammy Awards will air live from the Los Angeles Staples Center on February 12 at 8pm on CBS.
