After hearing that Kate Moss might make a cameo in the forthcoming “Absolutely Fabulous” feature, we've learned that our generations super model is set to appear in George Michael’s upcoming music video. Is Kate Moss the next model to turn actress? Maybe.
Apparently Kate's cameo in the music video is an apology from George Michael. Too bad it’s coming about 20 years too late. Back in 1990, George Michael recorded the music video for “Freedom”, which featured a host of the era’s top supermodels like Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford. Moss was devastated when she wasn’t selected to appear in the video, this is his attempt to make it up for her.
Moss will be the only model in the video and is said to be working alongside a zebra. Wait, what?
The music video will mark Michael’s comeback after a long battle with pneumonia and will be for the song “White Light.”
“When she said last year that she was upset she didn’t get to star in the ‘Freedom’ video, it got everybody involved in George’s new track thinking,” a source told the Daily Mirror, “She was offered a cameo role in the new video as long as she could make it along to the studio for the shoot.”
That was the only requirement? “Must show up on time” - Geez, being a model sounds awesome.
“She was delighted to be offered, and if everything goes to plan, she’ll appear in it,” the source adds.
The two UK stars will also appear at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics. Michaels will be performing and Moss will be walking the catwalk in designs by Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood.
