No, Katy Perry is not going to own a copy of the famous Sims Game, but rather, she is being turned into a Sim. They are making The Sims: Katy Perry Edition, or something like that.
I’m going to assume for a moment that you had a normal childhood full of human interaction and thankfully never played The Sims, so bare with me as I explain this game. Basically, you get to build a house, buy things and make your “Sims” do whatever you want, well basically you send them off to work in the morning and when they come home you make them cook dinner. It’s weird, trust me.
So is Katy Perry becoming a Sim a great idea or a bad idea? What would this even entail? Will fans get the chance to make Sims “Katy” go to divorce court? Take “Katy” to the hairsalon to get her roots touched up? Watch as “Katy” tweets for several hours per day?
One thing is sure, Katy is excited about it, “I always like to think of myself as a cartoon, and now I’m a Sim,” Perry said in a statement.
Katy will be featured in several Sims games including a special collectors edition of “The Sims 3: Showtime.” I think this means something to nerds.
While Katy isn’t the first celeb to get the Sims treatment, she’s the first that you can actually play with and control like a regular Sim. Other celeb Sims who made “cameos” in a Sim game include Andy Warhol, Marilyn Monroe, Jon Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera, and Avril Lavigne.
