Pepsi has a long and rich history with pop singers. Remember Britney Spears’s Pepsi commercial at the 2002 Super Bowl? Or Michael Jackson and Pepsi in the 1980’s? Ray Charles? Mariah Carey? Even Kanye West!?
Katy Perry’s concert flick, “Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D” is about to get the Pepsi treatment.
Pepsi will launch a blitz of TV, radio, print and online ads that tie-in with the film’s release on July 5.
Not only that, but fans can enter for the chance to win tickets to the world premiere of the flick in Los Angeles, but if you don’t win, no worries, Pepsi will be live streaming the premiere on their website.
Advertisements for the film will now feature Pepsi’s new tagline, “Live For Now.”
“Pepsi is one of the world’s leading brands, and this integrated partnership provides an incredible platform for us to build fan anticipation to see this exciting glimpse into Katy’s world when the movie comes to theatres this summer,” says LeeAnn Stables Paramount VP of marketing.
The flick will take fans behind the scenes of Katy’s “California Dreams” tour, and let fans into her personal life, like her (gasp) struggle before her success, (double gasp) religious upbringing and (omGASP) split from Russell Brand.
“Katy’s film will deliver fans an exclusive one-of-a-kind experience at one of the biggest movie events of the summer,” adds Simon Lowden, marketing officer at Pepsi.
