Back in August, we reported that the NFL had closed in on three possible acts to play at the legendary Super Bowl Halftime Show. The three artists were Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Coldplay. But there was a catch… one of the three acts had to pay to play the Halftime Show.
Yes, the MULTIBILLION dollar company was asking the artists to pay to perform at their show.
The NFL has denied the allegations that they asked the artists to pay, but do we really believe them?
Well if the rumors are true, can you guess who did PAY TO PLAY?
Katy Perry. Not a surprise since her latest Prism album didn't do as well as her first two albums. Her most recent singles "This Is How We Do" and "Dark Horse" made it onto the charts, but not even onto the Top 10, let alone the Top 30.
Regardless, it's a win-win for the NFL and Katy Perry.
The NFL gets a bubble gum family friend pop artist to perform. (As long as she doesn't sing "I Kissed A Girl")
And Katy Perry is going to be watched by over 111 million people around the country, tuning into the biggest American sporting event of the year.
