Katy Perry Too Racy For VMAs?

The song I Kissed A Girl has been stuck in our heads for the last two months straight, whether we like it or not. And it's only fitting that the song should be a part of the VMAs since it definitely falls into the category of Summer '08 hits. But the execs at the show think she's just a little too racy to open up the VMAs.

A source tells the New York Post Katy was overheard complaining about the situation over dinner at Marix in West Hollywood.

There's no word on if she was just bumped back a little in the lineup, but we can't imagine they would eliminate her altogether for the show. What do you think? Is the song too racy, or would she be the perfect opening act for this Sunday's VMAs?
