Trailer time! Katy Perry's filmic bio-adventure Part of Me 3D is on its way to movie theater screens this summer. A trailer for the movie has already hit the internet.

“Thank you so much for believing in my weirdness,” Perry announces to a stadium of screaming fans in the promo.

Based on the clip, Perry’s film seems to be in the same vein as Bieber’s behind the scenes theatrical look, Never Say Never. However, unlike Bieber, Perry’s journey was not an overnight success.

The trailer races us through her Christian upbringing and her battle breaking in to the industry. A voice on the trailer reminds us that pop sensation was originally dropped from Columbia records in 2006.

We’re even teased that the film will delve into Perry’s much publicized divorce with actor Russell Brand. The couple called it quits in December of 2011 after a rocky marriage.

“I was going through some depressing, dark times,” Perry narrates. “But, it’s a journey. I learned so much from that journey.”

But it’s not all doom and gloom. There’s plenty of the glitz, color, and whipped cream squirting breasts we know and love about the “E.T.” singer. Plus, who doesn’t want to see Perry antics in 3D?

Other than gracing the silver screen, Perry is scheduled to perform at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards on May 20. Joining her on stage at the epic event include Chris Brown, LMFAO, Cee-Lo, Carrie Underwood, and the Biebs himself.

Part of Me hits theaters on July 4.
