Kelly Rowland’s first day of work went smoothly. Kelly Rowland has been added as a judge to the new season of British version of “ The X- Factor.”
Kelly joins returning judge Louis Walsh, and British singers Gary Barlow and Tulisa Contostavlos on the "The X Factor" judges panel.
Kelly stunned onlookers on the red carpet in a tiny yellow top and black skirt as she appeared for the first round of auditions at the LG Arena in Birmingham.
The only other American who crossed over to become a judge on UK "X Factor" was Britney Spears’ choreographer, Brian Friedman, who only lasted a season as he was too critical as a judge.
Kelly describes her judging style, “Being a judge is never easy, but I promise to be as sternly honest as I can and also encourage everyone who crosses the stage,” said Kelly. “I can’t wait to meet the world’s next superstar.”
The last "X Factor" winner to have major fame in the US was Leona Lewis. Let’s hope Kelly Rowland can help find another star talent like Lewis.
However, that doesn’t mean Rowland will stop making music of her own. Kelly is set to release her new single “What A Feeling,” to the UK singles chart this week.
