This morning, nominees were announced for the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards and to the surprise of no-one Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift lead the nomination pack.

Swift only gained 3 nominations, which is pretty low for her standards, but she was still the most nominated female solo artist. Sorry Miranda Lambert, the tweens have spoken.

Forget Britney’s new tour, people are going nuts for Kenny Chesney. The country star showed up on the Today show to give a heartfelt performance with Grace Potter. The two song a duet, You and Tequila from Chesney’s latest album, Hemingway’s Whiskey.

Chesney is next set to perform a sold-out show at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field. And y’all thought Yankees couldn’t appreciate some country.

The concert is part of Chesney’s 2011 Corona-sponsored “Goin’ Coastal” tour.
