Second to, “What is the meaning of life?” the hardest question in all of the cosmos is quite possibly “Who is more talented, Madonna or Lady Gaga?”
Australian pop superstar Kylie Minogue took on the challenge of answering that very quandary on an episode of Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live.” Turns out, she’s sticking with her age bracket… Madonna, she says, has the better chops.
In a segment called “Plead the Fifth” host Andy Cohen interrogated Minogue, urging the star to “summon her donkey booty strength.” After a brief moment of pondering, she answered.
“How long do I have?” she paused. “I’m going to go with – for just hanging in there and doing what she does… Madonna.”
Previously, during an episode of E!’s “Fashion Police,” Minogue questioned a bold decision the “Material Girl” made of showing her boob made during a concert in Istanbul.
“Was she caught up in the moment? Was it pre-meditated? Who knows,” Kylie said. “But I think it’s got people more perplexed than excited by it.”
Minogue has been synonymous with Madonna throughout her career, being bundled as the top two divas of the world.
Despite an inevitable competitive spirit she may have felt toward Madonna throughout her career, Kylie’s officially sticking up for her counterpart with the response when it comes to comparing her to new talent Gaga.
The “who’s better?” question between Madonna and Gaga is nothing new either. Their feud has recently sparked fighting words between the two, after Madonna accused “The Edge of Glory” singer of plagiarism.
Gaga responded at a performance, “It sometimes makes people feel better about themselves, to put other people down, or make fun of them, or maybe make mockery of their work, and that doesn’t make me feel good at all.”
Unfortunately for Gaga, with Minogue’s new statement, the original divas seem to be teaming up against her.
