Kylie Minogue has done it again! She just released her 11th studio album Aphrodite today, and we already love it.
We’ve been listening to her first single “All the Lovers” for a few weeks now, and it reminded us a little of her 80s stuff! Kylie said recently, "As I was recording it I knew that ‘All the Lovers’ had to be the first single; it sums up the euphoria of the album perfectly. It gives me goose-bumps, so I'm really excited to hear what everyone thinks of it."
But “Get Outta My Way” seems to be beating that track in popularity now! It’s a very upbeat dancy album, and it’s clear that it was produced by Stuart Price, who did Madonna's Confessions.
When asked if this will be Kylie’s last album, she told UK website PopJustice, "I think so. I think it's joyful. It's like the jus of all the best bits of my musical career. And it has enough of those Kylie moments you talked about. It's reflective in some parts - and I think there's enough to it so that it doesn't just bang you around the head. When Stuart and I were compiling the tracklist we decided that we have plenty of bangers and that's when we decided we needed songs like ‘Closer’ to bring it down a little."
So is this the best album yet? Kylie thinks so! "I don’t think I’ve ever felt like this about an album,” she told Blackbook. “Although I’m not taking the title too literally. Aphrodite is the goddess of love, and as far as the music goes, there’s a feeling of euphoria on this one."
Aphrodite is available on iTunes now!
