If there are two things a Baz Luhrmann adaptation of Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet, or just any of Baz’s Monday mornings are in no short supply of it’s diamonds and pearls.

While on the promotion beat for Silent Hill 3D: Revelation, Adelaide Clemens took a casual minute to talk about her role as Catherine in the upcoming The Great Gatsby, specifically the movie’s soundtrack, and spilled these precious gems.

“They have some new music that's going to be added to the film," Adelaide said.

“Some pretty huge artists have approached Baz and are writing songs for the film, and I don't think Warner Bros. are going to turn down Prince and Lady Gaga knocking down your door.”

Yes, she meant THAT Prince and THAT Gaga and, no, she might’ve been breaching some gray area on her non-disclosure agreement. “I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that,” she then admitted.

For any Baz fan, the accompanying soundtracks are just as anticipated as his high-glam movies and this revelation only adds to the musical fire. We won’t know if these tracks are in fact signed, sealed, and delivered to the final disc until its released next year, but it’s not outside the realm of possibility.

Prince contributed to animated movie Happy Feet, so nothing is really above him because I mean, penguins. And Gaga will associate herself with anything that mixes the high-low of the art world because I mean, branding.
