Does Lady Gaga Have a New Single?

When you’re Lady Gaga it’s hard to be sneaky about things.

During an appearance at Chicago’s Pitchfork Music Festival a devoted fan caught the sound of a reworked “Nothing On But the Radio” coming from her car. The fan tweeted about it and, since then, the rumor mill has been spinning with thoughts that this could be a single from her new album that little monsters are chomping at the bit to get a piece of.

“Can you write first letter from the title new Gaga’s album or new Gaga’s single?” the fan asked Gaga’s sound engineer Dave Russell.

Russell replied, “N O :)”

As in Nothing On…

“Nothing On But the Radio” is an unreleased demo that hit the Internet in 2010. The song was written by Billy Steinberg who is responsible for songs like Demi Lovato’s “Give Your Heart A Break” and Madonna’s “Like a Virgin.”

Since then, hit singles like “The Edge of Glory,” “Poker Face,” and “Born This Way” have all but distracted us from the demo track. But, with this resurfacing, the thought of the song’s official launch in the future wouldn’t exactly be a tragedy.

In fact, the track kind of rocks with it’s toe-tapping chorus and dancy beat…

Gaga’s new album promises to be all about having fun. In an interview with MTV news, she said that the overall feel of the new release has a more kiddish feel than what fans are used to.

"Let's just say I feel, I feel that when I wrote Born This Way, I demonstrated a sense of maturity," she said. "And I feel that, on the next album, there's a lack of maturity, it's a tremendous lack of maturity or sense of responsibility."

Previously, Gaga informed her monsters that they’d have to wait until September for any real news about the album.

“Exciting news little monsters! I've played my new record for my label and will be announcing my new Album Title in September! X," she tweeted last month.

So, could this sighting really be a clue for what’s to come for Gaga? Or was she just rockin’ out to one of her old favorites? Unfortunately, it looks like time is the only thing that can really reveal the truth.
