Lady Gaga & Elton John to Record Duet for Movie

Lady Gaga and Elton John are teaming up for a duet! The two singing sensations will reportedly record a song called “Hello, Hello” for Disney’s new animated film Gnomeo & Juliet.

The film is being produced by Sir Elton and his partner, David Furnish. The pop track plays during the moment where the two lead characters, lawn ornaments named Gnomeo (voiced by James McAvoy) and Juliet (Emily Blunt), meet for the first time.
Gnomeo and Juliet is set to be released on February 11, three days before Valentine's Day, and also stars Michael Caine, Patrick Stewart, wrestler Hulk Hogan, Ozzy Osbourne and Dolly Parton.

Elton told the ladies on The View this morning that he’s not a fan of artists who don’t write their own songs.

"I dont think there's the qualtiy of the music that there was in, say, the late '60s, early '70s," he said, later adding: "I think Lady Gaga writes great songs."

The film hits theaters on Feb. 11, 2011. We love this project! But it would be even better if Elton was featured on Gaga’s next album….
